The beginning course in Graphic Communications introduces the students to areasof printing that are used today in the printing industry. Areas of concentrationinclude: principles of project design and layout, darkroom procedures, runningof the offset press, the various methods of screen printing (handcut and photostencil method) black and white photography, and bindery. This course involveslecture time with most of the time spent with actual hands on projects. Studentsin this course design and print on T-shirts and mirrors in multi-color inks.
