Definition The Future Business Leaders of America-Phi Beta Lambda, Inc. is a nonprofit, vocational student educational organization which promotes the mission of bringing "business and education together in a positive working relationship through innovative leadership and career development programs. Operated by local business teachers who are encouraged to offer FBLA as an integral part of the business education program. "The four divisions-Middle Level, secondary, post secondary, and Professional-all give their members the opportunity and the tools to excel in the business world.

History The FBLA concept was developed in 1937 and the first high school chapter was organized in 1942 in Tennessee.
